What would life be like if we didn't have the courage to try something new? - Vincent van Gogh

This is one of my personal projects that is closely related to art. I have always been attracted to the stories of the ancient ages, Greek and Roman heroes, mythology and its metaphors. I am fascinated by the beautiful sculptures of those times, the anatomical representations of the human body and the gods, impressive pieces of stone sculpted by man hundreds and -some- thousands of years ago. Inspired by this passion, I have taken images of some Greco-Roman plastic works of art to create new expressions of digital art.

In my spare time I like to create illustrations and editions, play with color palettes and photo collages to achieve this kind of postmodern art. After a while doing these digital montages and publishing them on instagram, I noticed that other people enjoyed them, so I decided to sell some and that's why I made this web design.

This design has the purpose of exposing my works as a gallery to sell digital art paintings in different printed formats.

The brand name Virgilio is due to one of my favorite authors, Dante Alighieri, who wrote the poem The Divine Comedy. The logo is a typographic logo that uses the Evole Sans font, which I found interesting because of its cuts in capital letters, which generate a feeling of reflection, its shapes trying to imitate a serif typeface.

In the background illustration, the god Hades is depicted with a triad of simple colors, which I also used as a color palette for the website.
